Make your voice heard!

Submit testimony or better yet, show up and testify in person! Judiciary Committee Warner Chamber on the 2nd floor of the Capitol.

Feb 28th, starting at 1:30 p.m. in the Judiciary Committee the following bills will be heard in committee: LB54 – addressing the issue impacting lawful transportation of concealable firearms; LB58 – Red Flag Law; LB198 – use of a facsimile firearm in the commission of a crime; LB343 – School Safety Rapid Response Option Act; LB275 – require notification when prohibited person attempts to secure a firearm purchase or concealed handgun permit; and LB585 – change provisions with regards to possession of a stolen firearm

To submit testimony for or against a bill, send an email to the Committee Chair Senator Steve Lathrop:
Make sure to do so before Feb 28th at 1:30.

Additionally, the letter must include your name and address, state a position of for, against, or neutral on the bill in question and include a request for the letter to be included as part of the public hearing record.

It is preferable to keep emails short and on point, so it would be better for each bill to be addressed in their own email.  Putting the bill number in the title is very helpful too.
